Duy Tan University is located in the heart of sunny Danang, on the Pacific Ocean. The University has steadily developed, sharing its ambition with the city to create a bustling, modern, international metropolis. Founded by the decree of the Prime Minister of Vietnam on the November 11th, 1994, Duy Tan University is the first and the largest private, multidisciplinary and diversified institution in Central Vietnam.

Over the past 30 years of establishment and development, Duy Tan University has enrolled over 140,000 PhD candidates, Master's students, and Undergraduate students. Duy Tan University has fueled the local labor market with a total of 85.000 graduates and postgraduates so far. The University has educated many highly qualified members for the labor force which actively contributed to the industrialization and modernization of the area. Over 91,91% of graduates find jobs within a year of graduation, which contributes to improving the people's intellectual standard and to the socialization of education.

Dedicated for 30 years to providing high quality education to the community, Duy Tan University has continually increased the quantity and quality of its people. The number of employees has grown from a few dozen to 1,553 today, of whom 30.56% hold PhDs, with full or associate professorships. Many graduated from leading universities in the USA, Russia, France, Germany, Canada, Korea and Belgium. In addition, there are 200 visiting lecturers from Vietnam and abroad teaching at Duy Tan University. Working as a team, the full-time lecturers and the visiting lecturers have played an important part in the success of Duy Tan University. They have contributed to moving DTU into the top 5 higher academic institutions in Vietnam, with the most international publications; one national level research project; 56 Ministerial level projects; 6 Protocol projects; 7 Provincial level projects; one certificate of utility solution; 15 patents, 13 of which were registered for protection internationally; and one of the two DTU Journals of Science & Technology is now indexed by Scopus.

With the slogan: "Partnering with Giants”, Duy Tan University has expanded partnerships with many well-known American universities. These include Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), one of the top four American universities in IT (according to U.S. News 2021); Pennsylvania State University (PSU), one of the top fifty universities in Economics and Business Administration (according to U.S. News 2021); and California State University, CSU Fullerton and Cal Poly, one of the top five American public universities in Civil Engineering and Architecture on the West Coast; and with Purdue University, one of the top ten American universities in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and Mechatronics.

In 2010, Duy Tan University started to offer the 2+2 program (DTU students spend 2 years at DTU and 2 years at foreign university in the US or Canada); the 1+1+2 program (DTU students spend 1 year at DTU before transferring to a foreign university in America) and the 3+1 program (DTU students spend 3 years at DTU before transferring to a foreign university in Singapore or the UK.)

In 2017, Duy Tan University has partnered with Troy University to offer international-level ADP courses in Business Administration, Information Technology, and Tourism & Hospitality Management to help students obtain US degrees while studying in Vietnam.

Over nearly 30 years of development with many ups and downs, Duy Tan University has made impressive progress and achieved many excellent accomplishments in education and research. Notably, the university holds very high positions in global rankings, including:

- Ranked 495th among the Best Universities in the World for 2025 according to QS Rankings;

- Accredited by ABET (USA) for Information Technology and Electrical-Electronics programs;

- The first university in Vietnam to receive UNWTO TedQual accreditation for Tourism programs.

Additionally, many fields of study at the university have been highly ranked. On April 10, 2024, QS Rankings announced the following: Architecture and Built Environment ranked 151-200 worldwide; Computer Science and Information Systems ranked 351-400 worldwide; Electrical and Electronic Engineering ranked 351-400 worldwide; Environmental Science ranked 351-400 worldwide; Hospitality and Leisure Management ranked 101-150 worldwide; Medicine ranked 501-550 worldwide.

Over the course of 30 years of operation and development, DTU students have achieved special academic accomplishments in their quest for knowledge and skill.

- Ta Ba Thanh Huy won first prize in the 2008 National Informatics College Olympiads.

- Dang Xuan Nam came first in the Loa Thanh Civil Engineering and Architecture Tournament in 2010.

- Nguyen Thu Quynh won a National award for Female Information Technology students in 2012.

- The 2013 and 2017 CDIO Cups in the US and Canada.

- The Asia - Pacific IDEERS Championship in 2014.

- A win in the 2016, 2017 and 2018 National Go- Green- In - The – City and National Microsoft Imagine Cup.

- Nguyen Thi Thanh won the 2018 Women in Business Award at the Go Green in the City contest the US.

- Four prizes in the 2020 National Student Festival of Architecture.

- Third place in the 2020 ASEAN Student Contest on Information Security.

- First Prize in the 2020 Medical Scholarship Contest.

- Dr. Ho Thanh Tam became one of the ten winners of the 2020 “Golden Globe Awards”, through his continual dedication to research.

- First Prize in the 2021 Youth Drivers for Change Awards with “Online Medicine Ecosystem” project.

Over 30 years of devotion, Duy Tan University has always been worthy of the trust and confidence of the Communist Party, the State and our community and has received many certificates of merit and medals from the City and National government. As a Senior OutSystems Developer at Bosch, you are responsible for the development and maintenance of mobile and web-based applications assigned and ensure that the applications are working well, supporting both internal and external stakeholders in any errors or bugs in the applications.

Your main responsibilities

• Maintenance, support and troubleshoot reported systems errors and bugs and facilitate successful deployment and implementation of the applications.

• You will be assigned to develop functional components including screens, business logic and custom UI using the OutSystems platform.

• Run tests and documentation to ensure that applications are working in order.

• Advise recommendations and corrections for applications across different teams.

• You will be part of the agile project team responsible for delivering and maintaining applications.

• Work as a team together with Product Service Owner (PSO) and other stakeholders to understand user requirements.

• To develop functional features while meeting the User Experience (UX) goals.

• You will participate in the definition and/or extend the data model of the applications enforcing proper referential integrity constraints.

• You will be assigned to develop functional components including screens, business logic and custom UI using the OutSystems platform.

In order to develop software applications for Microsoft Vietnam and meanwhile to serve as an incubator for technology research by students, the Microsoft Center at Duy Tan University (MIC@DTU) is evolving into an attractive destination for national and international IT talent. It is becoming an ideal learning venue for avid programmers. After one year of breakthroughs, MIC@DTU is celebrating some impressive accomplishments.

Established on June 9, 2014, MIC@DTU has become the home for a team of over twenty skilled software experts. Many come from major companies in Vietnam and abroad, or are outstanding IT graduates. MCI@DTU has invested heavily to build a broad infrastructure, and, after just one year, has become a state-of-the-art establishment with modern staff offices, practice and training labs for programmers and game development rooms for students. Prerana Bohara, a data science expert from India chose to dedicate her talents to MIC@DTU. She explains, “I chose to work here because it’s a very energetic working environment, which suits my professional interests and gives me the opportunity to develop my skills. At MIC@DTU I can relax and feel comfortable, as in a family. My colleagues are always friendly, care about me and work as a team. I hope to have many opportunities to learn and share my knowledge and experience at MIC@DTU and contribute strongly to its growth and success.”

The Microsoft application programming projects undertaken by MIC@DTU, such as the TFLAT Dictionary and Learning English through Songs, have been uploaded to the Windows stores, and accumulated very positive reviews from users. Among them, the PhotoBackup app has been ranked with the new and outstanding apps. Several games have been developed at MIC@DTU, such as the P2A Game, with many downloads. This application allows ASEAN students to explore their many different colorful cultures. By way of its training courses and seminars, MIC@DTU has introduced many students to the latest Microsoft technology, such as the Microsoft Azure Developer Camp and Xamarin.

MIC@DTU has given free programming courses to over three hundred students so far. It has teamed up with the Microsoft Corporation to organize contests to discover and nurture IT talent. This has helped enthusiastic students develop their skills, unleash their creativity and pursue their passion. Examples of these are the Mobile Hackathon, the DTU Innovation Cup and the Hackathon App Studio. As a direct result of these contests, MIC@DTU has completed over one hundred student apps, which have been uploaded into the Microsoft app repository. At the 2015 Microsoft Imagine Cup, organized by Microsoft Vietnam, MIC@DTU supported the EEM team, which had taken first prize at the 2014 DTU Innovation Cup. They went on to reach the second round in the 2015 contest and a ticket to the International Microsoft Imagine Cup in Seattle, US.

Recently, the first MIC Internship program for final-year students in Information Technology, organized by MIC@DTU, drew one hundred and fifty students from schools in the Danang and Hue areas, who signed up for training. The most outstanding trainees will have the opportunity to work as collaborators on projects and be employed by MIC@DTU on graduation.

Visiting the Creativity Incubator on March 15, Professor Anthony Lattanze, Director of the Masters of Embedded Software Engineering program at the Institute for Software Research, was impressed with the software the students were developing at MIC@DTU. He also praised the English language skills and the teamwork and and programming ability of the Danang students, and the DTU students in particular. This confirmed the quality of training at DTU and the quality of the interns in the MIC Internship program.

“After one year of development, MIC@DTU has gained renown in the IT community locally and nationwide,” said Mr. Vo Duc Toan, Acting Director of MIC@DTU. “This shows in the quantity and quality of products the Center uploaded to application repositories and in the successes of the student. The Center will broaden its partnerships with business to discover and nurture talent, to create software and apply the most advanced technology to develop projects according to international trends.”

MIC@DTU plans to orient itself to the development of apps running on multiple platforms and technologies, accelerating app development and 3D games (combined with AR and VR and interactive virtual-reality technologies), providing solutions and developing optimized software for business and enabling students from the Danang area and surrounding provinces to use the latest Microsoft technology. With a practical development strategy and the hard work of the dedicated team, MIC@DTU will grow ever stronger and achieve even more.
